Stephanie Nortman, Closing Specialist
In her capacity as a closing specialist, Stephanie communicates with agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers to coordinate residential closings, reviews closing documents, signs closing documents with buyers and sellers, records documents, and disburses funds to required parties after closing. Stephanie also serves as River Valley Title Group’s commercial closing agent, helping parties to navigate and coordinate commercial closings.
As an attorney, Stephanie prepares the deeds for all Wisconsin transactions, as well as any necessary documents such as easements, shared driveway agreements, shared well agreements, or any other legal document required to successfully complete the transaction. In addition, she reviews corporate documents, trust documents, divorce decrees, and other documents provided by the parties to ensure a compliant closing.
Born and raised in Black River Falls, Stephanie now lives there with her husband, Jordan, their young son Camden, and 2 dogs, Winnie and Charlie. They will be adding another son to the bunch in November 2020. When she is not working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family at their lake cabin, traveling, and volunteering with several local organizations.
Mischa Sandwick, Closing Specialist
Mischa began with River Valley Title Group as Title Administrator and within a year promoted to a Closing Specialist position. She brought a fresh new perspective to RVTG after being in a data entry role for 9-years and has quickly become a valuable member of the RVTG team. Mischa’s positive attitude helps her and her customers tackle any problems or pitfalls they may encounter and stay on track for a smooth transaction.
Mischa grew up in Onalaska, went Holmen High School, and currently resides in Holmen with her husband, Justin. Mischa is the oldest of 12 children! She considers herself to be a second mom to her two youngest brothers.
Mischa loves art, music, nature, and food. In her words, “who doesn’t love food?” She also loves to spend time with her siblings, family and friends. In her free time, you’ll find her doing crafts, gardening, cooking, and enjoying nature. Even though she doesn’t travel much now, she hopes to do more traveling in the future!
Karley Brink, Cosing Specialist
Karley is the newest Closing Specialist for River Valley Title Group working out of the Winona office. She joined our River Valley Title Group team with 9+ years of experience and knowledge in the banking industry, and is looking forward to applying her skills to her new role.
Karley was born and raised in Winona and is still living there with her husband, Brady, and their two children, Keelyn (4) and Dryver (2). She graduated from Winona Senior High School, and attended Minnesota State Southeast Technical College where she received an Associate’s Degree in Sales Management and Retail Management. Karley and her husband own four race cars and enjoy racing autocross and trailer races at the local county fairs. When there is no racing you will find Karley and her family fishing or camping in their Ice Castle.
Tania Rieber, Title Examiner
Tania has an abundance of experience in title insurance, having worked in the financial and real estate industries for more than 8 years. She began her career in the financial industry where she served in the real estate loan servicing department at a local bank. Tania put that experience to work when she entered the title industry where she served in a number of roles, including final title preparer, title searcher, closing processor, and title administrative assistant while working for another title agency in the La Crosse market. Through this experience, she gained valuable insight into ways to serve and add value to real estate agents. Tania is excited to join the team at River Valley Title Group and work with all of you.
Tania has lived in the La Crosse area her whole life. She graduated from West Salem High School and now lives in Bangor with her husband, Dan. When she is not working, Tania enjoys spending time with their two rescue dogs, Doobie and Rambo and their rescue cat, Isabella. She also fosters for a local rescue group and, as a result, typically has a foster dog or two running around. When the weather is nice, Tania and her husband enjoy kayaking, spending time in their backyard, and taking road trips in their Jeep Wrangler.
Pa Yang, Finals & Post Closing Specialist
Pa Yang is a Finals & Post Closing Specialist at our Onalaska River Valley Title Group office. Prior to joining the team, Pa has worked as a loan processor where she prepared loan files and submit them to banks or mortgage lenders for approval. Pa has also spent seven years as an appraisal analyst reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating real estate appraisals and valuations for residential or consumer loans, as well as, loss prevention reviews produced by appraisal vendors. Pa is excited to join the team and looks forward to leveraging her past experience to contribute to the company!
Pa grew up in La Crosse with her family of seven siblings. She moved to Minnesota in 2010 and recently moved back to the area to be closer to family. Outside of the office, she enjoys going on hikes, photography, and spending time with her family!
Char Sanderson, Title Administrator
Char Sanderson is the Title Administrator for the River Valley Title Group, working out of the Onalaska office! Char joins our team with 25+ years of experience and knowledge in Business Management, Accounting, and Payroll. Char is excited to be a part of our family and is looking forward to applying her skills to her new role.
Char was born and raised in Onalaska, WI. She graduated from Onalaska High School and furthered her education by attending Western Technical College, formerly Western Wisconsin Technical College, where she received her Associates Degree in Accounting.
Char currently resides in La Crosse, WI with her husband of 30+ years, Bill. Char also has two grown daughters, Amber and Brianna, with whom she cherishes spending time and creating memories. She also has a strong love for dogs with two German Shepherds (Koda and Chance) and a 4.5 pound Chihuahua (Nyx) at home. During the summer, Char enjoys her weekends camping with family/friends, as well as relaxing at home out in the “man cave” or around a fire in the backyard. During the winter, Char enjoys going to craft fairs with friends and staying cozy inside with her fur babies and her husband.
