Lois Beissel, Business Manager/Closing Specialist
A Minnesota native, Lois Beissel is the Business Manager and Closing Specialist at River Valley Title Group; primarily working out of the Winona, Minnesota, and Onalaska, Wisconsin, offices. Lois brings 30 years of experience in title work and banking. She began her career in real estate and title work soon after college in Minnesota, and after several years in the industry owned and operated her own title company in Rochester, Minnesota, for 18 years.
After selling the business, Lois continued working in real estate and banking until becoming a closer at River Valley Title Group in 2017.
Lois resides in Holmen, Wisconsin, and enjoys traveling to Phoenix and San Francisco to spend time with family.
Stephanie Nortman, Closing Specialist
Stephanie Nortman is Closing Specialist at our Black River Falls office. As a licensed Wisconsin attorney, she will also serve as a legal resource to the River Valley family of companies.
Stephanie graduated magna cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in May 2016, and passed the Wisconsin bar exam that summer. During law school, she served on the law review board of editors and focused much of her efforts on real estate law and estate planning.
Additionally, Nortman has served as a privacy consultant for the state of Minnesota Department of Human Services and was a private practice attorney for a short while. She has also volunteered for the Wills for Heroes program, preparing estate planning documents at no cost for veterans, active duty service members and first responders in the Twin Cities metro area.
Tania Rieber, Title Examiner
Tania has an abundance of experience in title insurance, having worked in the financial and real estate industries for more than 8 years. She began her career in the financial industry where she served in the real estate loan servicing department at a local bank. Tania put that experience to work when she entered the title industry where she served in a number of roles, including final title preparer, title searcher, closing processor, and title administrative assistant while working for another title agency in the La Crosse market. Through this experience, she gained valuable insight into ways to serve and add value to real estate agents. Tania is excited to join the team at River Valley Title Group and work with all of you.
Tania has lived in the La Crosse area her whole life. She graduated from West Salem High School and now lives in Bangor with her husband, Dan. When she is not working, Tania enjoys spending time with their two rescue dogs, Doobie and Rambo and their rescue cat, Isabella. She also fosters for a local rescue group and, as a result, typically has a foster dog or two running around. When the weather is nice, Tania and her husband enjoy kayaking, spending time in their backyard, and taking road trips in their Jeep Wrangler.
Joe Belczak, Closing Specialist
Joe Belczak is the Closing Specialist, working at River Valley Title Group’s Winona office, who brings many years of experience in the industry. He formerly worked for Citibank and other lenders as a mortgage closer, giving him insight and extensive knowledge about the real estate transaction and closing process.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Joe recently moved to the area with his fiancé in June 2019. In his free time, you’ll find Joe playing music, bicycling, camping and anything else involving the outdoors.
Mischa Sandwick, Title Administrator
Mischa Sandwick is the Title Administrator for River Valley Title Group, working out of the Onalaska office! Mischa brings a fresh new perspective to RVTG. After being in a data entry role for 9-years she decided to make a change and jump into the title world. She loves to learn and is considering continuing her education at some point in the future.
Mischa grew up in Onalaska, went Holmen High School, and currently resides in Holmen with her husband, Justin. Mischa is the oldest of 12 children! She considers herself to be a second mom to her two youngest brothers.
Mischa loves art, music, nature, and food. In her words, “who doesn’t love food?” She also loves to spend time with her siblings, family and friends. In her free time, you’ll find her doing crafts, gardening, cooking, and enjoying nature. Even though she doesn’t travel much now, she hopes to do more traveling in the future!
